Will he go or won't he go? As of today, the head of the Medef (French employers' association) is unsure whether he will attend the final meeting of the pensions "conclave" scheduled for June 23. "As I speak, I don't know. I'm very reserved," warned Patrick Martin, a guest on France 2's "4V" program on Wednesday, June 18.
"I will consult my authorities," he continued, recalling that his union "has made remarkable progress on women's careers, on wear and tear, on disabilities" but that these proposals "were brushed aside" by the other social partners present at the "conclave" (CFDT, CFTC, CFE-CGC and CPME).
The pension conclave between social partners , initiated by François Bayrou, which began three and a half months ago, failed to reach a conclusion on Tuesday, June 17, the initial deadline for consultation. In response, the CFDT and CFTC announced a final meeting, scheduled for June 23. For its part, the Ministry of Labor confirmed to France Télévisions that there is "no agreement." and that discussions will continue "next week" .
