The Garage du Centre hasn't changed its name, but it has changed hands. Since July ¹ , Lydie Lauriot, 31, and Tommy Colin, 33, have bought the establishment located on Route de Louhans, in Saint-Germain-du-Plain. "The main motivation was that we work together, that we can stop working on weekends," explains the mechanic. He had worked for ten years in a garage in Montpont-en-Bresse, and his partner was a nursing assistant at the Belnay hospital in Tournus and worked every other weekend.

"We had this project to take over a garage and the opportunity arose," she explains. "The secretary was retiring, so I was able to take her place." But for now, she only holds the position part-time; she continues to work part-time in Belnay. So the days are very full. "It's starting well, we were forced to recruit a full-time mechanic due to the appointments." Now under the Eurorepar brand, the garage employs one part-time employee, another full-time employee since August 4, and an apprentice.
