The Alliance for Mental Health launches the first charter for mental health in the workplace. Pioneering companies have already implemented prevention measures.

Mental health has long been the poor relation of workplace health, even though one in four employees reported experiencing mental health problems in 2025, according to the Qualisocial-Ipsos barometer . For a long time, "employers perceived this subject as a private matter. And the people concerned did not dare to talk about it because mental illnesses are more stigmatizing than physical illnesses," observes Claire Le Roy-Hatala, a labor sociologist.
To break out of denial, the Alliance for Mental Health, which brings together more than 3,000 stakeholders operating in this field, has announced the launch of a charter of commitment in favor of mental health to which companies will be able to adhere from November 20. Supported by the State, which has declared this issue a Major National Cause 2025 , the charter hopes to collect "at least fifty signatures on November 20 and a hundred by the end of the year," explains Angèle Malâtre-Lansac, general delegate of the Alliance.
Among the pioneers preparing to sign is the Baudelet group, which has some 700 employees operating in four sectors (energy, environment, leisure and catering, and retail). The group is all the more sensitive to this issue since its CEO, Caroline Poissonnier, herself experienced a near burnout. "I then understood that an exhausted leader who loses his drive weakens everything: decision-making, execution, agility (...) . The leader therefore has a dual responsibility: to protect the mental health of his teams... and to set an example by taking care of himself as well."
For the past ten years, the Baudelet group has implemented managerial tools, management-level oversight that translates into training, prevention, and individual support if necessary (coaching, therapeutic part-time work, etc.). "We are going to launch a consultation with social partners to align the charter with our internal systems," explains the co-director of this family business.
