This food is the best for sleeping well, it is rich in melatonin

Melatonin is known to be one of the best remedies for a good night's sleep. This substance, naturally produced by our bodies, is nicknamed the "sleep hormone." It works by synchronizing our circadian rhythm (day-night). When night falls, melatonin secretion increases, which promotes sleep. However, many people suffer from sleep disorders, particularly insomnia.
In this case, one of the most popular natural treatments is melatonin. Available over the counter in the form of dietary supplements, this substance is also naturally present in certain foods. One fruit contains particularly high levels: cherries.

American researchers tested the effectiveness of Montmorency cherry juice, a variety particularly rich in melatonin, on adults suffering from insomnia. Participants who drank a glass of cherry juice in the morning and another in the evening fell asleep an average of 30 minutes faster. However, these results from the study conducted on a small number of people still need to be confirmed by other, larger studies.
Of course, eating a few cherries won't miraculously make you fall asleep in minutes. But it can be a small boost, which, coupled with other measures like physical activity and a relaxing, screen-free bedtime ritual, can help you fall asleep more easily. Other foods, including bananas, pineapples, and nuts, are also rich in melatonin and can be natural sleep aids.
For chronic sleep disorders, treatments are available over-the-counter or by prescription. But beware, melatonin supplements are not without risk. In 2018, ANSES (the French National Agency for Food, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety) recommended that certain people avoid taking them: children and adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and people suffering from inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Medical advice is recommended "for people with epilepsy, asthma, mood, behavioral, or personality disorders, or those taking medication."
