Stick Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out?

Owen Wilson is leaving his Marvel multiverse adventures behind this summer for a much simpler gig: a sports comedy. Titled Stick, the Apple TV+ series stars Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a washed-up professional golfer who takes up coaching a young prodigy. Think Ted Lasso meets Happy Gilmore, with a whole lot of Wilson.
"When I first started talking to [Wilson] about the show and the character, very quickly I started to understand that the character of Pryce was being taken over by Owen Wilson and inhabited by the guy," creator Jason Keller told Esquire last month. "I've been a fan of his forever, and he's certainly done some emotional work. But in this show I saw him just access some really powerful places. I'm just blown away by the guy as an actor."
Stick also stars Peter Dager as Cahill's gifted protégé, Marc Maron as his former caddy, Judy Greer as his ex-wife, and Timothy Olyphant as his rival. In the first batch of episodes now available to stream on Apple TV+, Pryce meets Dager's character, enlists him in a golf tournament, and places a bet on his chances to win. The kid is a natural talent, but the money at stake puts too much pressure on him to succeed. And if I know Apple TV+ shows well, something tells me that they both have unresolved trauma to sort though as the series goes on.
How Can I Watch Stick? If you're dying to see Wilson swing a golf club, the first three episodes are now available to stream on Apple TV+. The streamer will then release a new episode every Wednesday until the finale on July 23.
