Pete Davidson Shares One Change He's Making to Prepare for Baby
Pete Davidson wants to be the king of fatherhood and philanthropy.
The comedian, 31, has decided to trade in his wheels for something more fit for a father. As a result, he's raffling off his Chevy Blazer to a lucky fan, with all the proceeds going to families of New York City police and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty—specifically the organization Answer the Call.
As his own father, Scott Davidson, was a New York City firefighter killed during the 9/11 attacks, the cause is especially important to the dad-to-be.
"Hey guys it's Pete Davidson, and you have an opportunity to win my K5 Blazer with a LS3 fuel-injected engine" the actor said in a promotional video from Altroo, the fundraising platform he's partnering with for the online raffle. "Having a kid, so you can’t really drive a kid in a car that sounds like this."
After showing off the loud "vroom" noises the car makes, he continued, "I am working with Answer the Call because it is my favorite charity. It's also the charity that helped my family when my dad passed away."
Emphasizing the organization's impact, he added, "It's an easy pick for me."
Honoring his own father as he prepares to become one himself is fitting for the SNL alum. After announcing in July that he and his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are expecting a baby together, Pete has shared his excitement for the milestone.
"I'm very lucky and very, very happy," he told E! News in July, adding how he's looking forward to "being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have."
And he has plenty of role models to guide him on the journey, including fellow SNL alum dads Adam Sandler and Colin Jost.
"Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream," he continued. "They all just have been like, 'You're going to be great at this. It's the best thing you'll ever do in your life.'"
He continued, "It's been really nice that everyone's super excited. When you do something, when we do anything, you want everyone to be excited, especially having a child."

I’m trying to figure out a way around it.”
The Bupkis actor couldn’t help but plant a kiss on Elsie’s cheek as they relaxed in a boat on the lake.
