Winnie Harlow Shares Wedding Planning Update With Kyle Kuzma

Winnie Harlow is strutting her way toward the wedding aisle.
Nearly seven months after the fashion model got engaged to NBA star Kyle Kuzma, she admitted that they are still figuring out the destination for their big day.
“At this point, we're trying to get to a point of where,” Winnie exclusively told E! News Sept. 11 at The Kering Foundation’s fourth annual Caring for Women dinner in New York City, “and then we can get everything flowing.”
But while the 31-year-old—who confirmed her romance with the Milwaukee Bucks basketball player, 30, in May 2020—doesn’t have a location in mind just yet, she dropped a hint on the type of bride she envisions herself to be.
“I'm an island vibe,” she continued in the interview, airing on E! News at 11 p.m. Sept. 15. “So, I really want to have warm weather, and I want to have a lot of dancing. I'm that type.”
Although Winnie and Kyle may be in the early stages of wedding planning, they have been vocal about their love for each other, including how special their Valentine’s Day engagement was.
Indeed, the couple reflected on the Turks and Caicos getaway that served as the setting for the proposal, though Kyle didn’t let on that their extra-lavish trip—which included a private jet filled with roses, balloons and chocolates—would include him popping the question.
“You threw me off the scent,” Winnie told Kyle during a joint interview with Vogue in February. “I still had no idea what this was. I was just like, ‘This is so cute for Valentine’s Day, oh my gosh!’”
Then, Kyle read a heartfelt poem that ended with, “Will you be my wife?”
“For a split second in my head I thought, ‘This would be so cute if this was an engagement,’” Winnie recalled. “But I’m also not the type of person who wants to guess or wants to spoil a surprise. So it just was a fleeting thought in my head.”
As for the 8.5-carat oval-cut engagement ring with two baguette stones on the side? Kyle had that covered, too.
“I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything,” he told Vogue. “I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her—something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time.”
And everything turned out just fine. As Winnie noted, “We’re over the moon.”
