"It's better than indifference": Louis Sarkozy sees the positive in the conviction of his father Nicolas

In the middle of a media tour to promote his book on Napoleon, Louis Sarkozy returned on the set of Grandes Gueules to the conviction of his father Nicolas, the former President of the Republic now wearing an electronic tag .
Asked about the mental state of the former head of state, who has been definitively sentenced to one year in prison for corruption and influence peddling in the wiretapping affair, his son assures that he remains "'energized' (sic) and in better shape" despite his partial deprivation of liberty.
"What's it like to see your father with an electronic bracelet on his ankle?" Alain Marschall asked him in Les GG .
"Nicolas Sarkozy has always been a fighter, has always defined himself by his battles and is facing yet another battle. I find him 'energized' (sic) by this battle and in better shape than ever," Louis Sarkozy assured RMC and RMC Story this Monday.
"He defined himself throughout his life by difficulty, this is an immense difficulty. Even in this difficulty, in this fight against great injustice, I think it's still better than indifference," he tries to explain, assuring that this "fight" allows Nicolas Sarkozy's popularity rating to rise.

Acknowledging, "of course," that he is "suffering" from the conviction of his father , who also risks seven years in prison in the case of the financing of his campaign by the Libyan regime of Muammar Gaddafi, Louis Sarkozy does not want to elaborate on his "private world." "I prefer to say that he is a fighter and that he is not weakened at all, and in the fight, you feel the volts increase."
Having been sentenced to one year in prison in the wiretapping case for corruption and influence peddling, Nicolas Sarkozy can now only leave his home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., since having an electronic bracelet placed on his ankle. Since his conviction, the former resident of the Élysée Palace has refused to make any "media comment."
