Bladed Weapons: What We Know About Zombie Knives
While the government considers the phenomenon of bladed weapons among minors to be a concern, one weapon is worrying the authorities: the zombie knife. It has already been banned in Great Britain.
These knives feature an aggressive, eye-catching design, with wide, serrated, and sometimes curved blades. The zombie knife, with its blade often measuring over 20 centimeters, is inspired by the post-apocalyptic imagery of similar films or video games. Looking more like a machete than a simple blade, zombie knives are freely available online, with an average price of 30 euros.
Designed for collectors and survival enthusiasts, zombie knives have raised eyebrows among parliamentarians. They are recommending a ban on the weapon in an effort to stem the rise in youth violence. This measure has been in effect in the United Kingdom since September 2024. Zombie knives have been used in numerous brawls.
