Lille. Averroès Muslim High School: Elisabeth Borne wants to appeal the court's decision

Education Minister Élisabeth Borne announced on TF1 on Tuesday that she would "appeal" the decision of the Lille administrative court, which last week decided to reinstate the association contract with the state of the Averroès Muslim high school in Lille.

This association contract between the State and this high school, which was until September 2024 the main Muslim high school under contract in France, was terminated in December 2023 by the prefecture of the North, which cited "serious breaches of the fundamental principles of the Republic."
