Solidarity dojo, nursery, Jean-Cavailles college auditorium... What to remember from the last Figanières municipal council meeting

Several resolutions were submitted for approval by elected officials and unanimously approved at the municipal council meeting. Bernard Chilini, mayor of Figanières, recalled that he had decided to create a community dojo and that the work carried out by the municipality is now complete.

However, part of the interior design, which was to be handled by the French Judo Federation (FFJ), is not complete. This service provider was slow to contact the project manager, and additional work remains the responsibility of the municipality, amounting to €38,889.68 including tax. To this end, a competition fund of €12,796.56 will be requested from Dracénie Provence Verdon Agglomeration (DPVa), with the FFJ expected to invest €50,000 for the toilets and carpets.

Renewed agreement for the nursery

The municipal council then amended the rates for the site rights authority from 1 July 2025 , in order to take into account the evolution of electricity rates. The mayor presented a draft agreement relating to the access and intervention of volunteers in the territory of the neighbouring municipalities, the Municipal Civil Security Reserve (RCSC) and the Municipal Forest Fire Committee (CCFF).

He also proposed the renewal of the agreement for the provision of the municipal building located on Avenue Adrien-Gagnaire, which houses the nursery, for the period 2025-2031. Two elected officials were appointed to attend the committees for the allocation of nursery places.

Furthermore, the elected officials approved that the auditorium of the Jean-Cavailles college, which will be inaugurated soon, be named "Kenny Clarke",

This name has received the agreement of the Department, the Academy and the grandson of the person concerned.
