Three changes in the daily lives of Ramatuelle residents

As summer approaches, the village is bursting with life, and residents' daily lives are slowly changing with the changes made by the municipality and the arrival of new services. At the last municipal council meeting, several items voted on by elected officials focused on decisions aimed at improving mobility, access to culture, and essential businesses. Here's a summary of current developments.

Summer shuttles

As part of the pedestrianization of the village center during the summer, access will be restricted for vehicles from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. As a result, a free shuttle service will be set up to connect the center to the parking lots on the outskirts, starting July 1st. This service will not replace the little train, which will still be in service. Electric buses will operate continuously from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Signs will be installed on the roads to redirect cars wishing to enter the center. And as suggested by the opposition, the municipality will closely monitor the progress of this new measure in order to make adjustments in the future.

A municipal “culture pass”

Good news for young people in Ramatuelle: they'll be able to freely enjoy the summer's festivities and cultural events. The municipality, which had the project in the pipeline, rolled out its own culture pass on June 15. This new program is intended for Ramatuelle students in middle and high schools, which means approximately 110 teenagers aged 11 to 18 are affected.

Recipients will receive a booklet of coupons granting them free access to several cultural events, including shows, concerts, and membership in a local association. Partners who have already participated include the Reconnexion Festival, Nuits Classiques, Jazz à Ramatuelle, and the tourist office.

The municipality will carry out an annual review to evaluate the effectiveness of this tool and consider developments.

Bakery work

Even though this project is further away, the decision authorizing the competitive tendering process for the establishment of the new bakery begins the countdown to the transfer of this service to Ramatuelle.

As a reminder, the town hall, as part of its village revitalization program, had launched a call for projects to install a bakery at the current Le Garage showroom. The cost of the work was estimated at €400,000. During the vote on this decision, minority councilor Bruno Goethals questioned the municipality about the arrangements that had been made: " Apparently, there would be a gap between March 2026, the end of La Tarte tropézienne's contract, and the launch of the new baker's business in May. Is this true, and how will we make bread after his departure?"

The timetable for the work has not yet been set, but city councilor Bruno Caïetti confirms that the issue has been taken into account: " We have already considered this time difference. We have several options, but I can assure you that there will be bread every day."
