United States: Donald Trump orders new deportation operations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York

US President Donald Trump on Sunday ordered new anti-migrant operations in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, in preparation for the "largest mass deportation program in history" targeting these cities, which he said were run by "far-left Democrats" with "sick minds."
Donald Trump , who has made the expulsion of illegal immigrants a priority of his second term, after promising during his campaign to put an end to a supposed "invasion" of foreign criminals, ordered new anti-migrant operations in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York on Sunday.
The US president's efforts to combat illegal immigration have gone far beyond this and have particularly targeted Latin American immigrants, who are essential to certain sectors of activity. "We must redouble our efforts to arrest and deport illegal aliens from America's largest cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where millions of illegal aliens live," the Republican president declared on his Truth Social network. "These cities, and others, are the central core of Democratic power," he added.
Repeated raids by federal immigration enforcement (ICE) agents in Los Angeles have sparked protests, sometimes punctuated by violence, in the second-largest city in the United States. The president responded by deploying 4,000 National Guardsmen and 700 Marines , an elite force, against the wishes of the California governor and mayor.
Like New York, Chicago, and other Democratic strongholds like San Francisco and Seattle, Los Angeles is a "sanctuary city" whose authorities refuse to cooperate with ICE in the fight against illegal immigration. On Saturday, as Donald Trump presided over a large military parade in Washington, hundreds of thousands of opponents took to the streets under the slogan "No Kings" to denounce what they consider to be the president's dictatorial excesses.
In his lengthy rant on Social Truth Sunday, the Republican president claimed that "every day, the brave men and women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from radical Democratic politicians." But, he insisted, "nothing will prevent us from carrying out our mission... ICE agents are hereby directed to do everything possible to achieve the very important goal of carrying out the largest mass deportation program in history."
“The far-left Democrats are sick in their minds, hate our country, and actually want to destroy our inner cities—and they’re succeeding!” the president continued. “There’s something wrong with them,” he continued in his rant, listing a series of grievances, including accusations that Democrats “believe in open borders, transgenderism for everyone, and men playing women’s sports.”
Curfew maintained in Los AngelesHe said he had ordered ICE and other law enforcement agencies to “FOCUS on our crime-ridden and murderous inner cities.” The entire administration, he insisted, is under orders “to put every possible resource behind this effort, and to reverse the tide of mass-destructive migration that has transformed once-idyllic cities into scenes of Third World dystopia.”
In Los Angeles, the curfew imposed by the city on June 10 to prevent violence and vandalism during protests against Donald Trump's immigration policy will remain in effect "for at least two more days," Democratic Mayor Karen Bass told local station KTLA on Sunday. "We don't know how many raids are going to happen, we don't know what the nature of the raids will be, and every time it happens, it really generates a lot of anger in the city," she explained.
