It's already tomorrow - Supermarkets: Remotely controlled robots replace employees in Japan

In Japan, some supermarkets have replaced their employees with humanoid robots remotely controlled from the Philippines. These robots, guided by operators wearing virtual reality headsets, perform handling tasks that are normally impossible to outsource. This concept, developed by the startup Telexistence, allows for working remotely and could become widespread in industry, logistics, or even remote surgery, transforming teleworking into the remote piloting of robots.
