2nd Sanary Decathlon, start on Saturday!

Building on the success of the first Decathlon in Sanary launched last year, the Southern League of Corporate Sports (FFSE) and the City are launching the second edition this weekend! Ten events will be on the program until June 2026, with new disciplines to offer new experiences to private and public sector employees, shopkeepers and self-employed people in the western Toulon area.
True to their philosophy of sharing a good-natured physical activity with colleagues and professionals from other sectors, everyone will take to the water on Saturday at 4 p.m. for a first longe-côte event on Plage Dorée! Like last year, participants' families will also be welcome.
New disciplinesThe varied program put together by the Deputy Secretary General of the Ligue Sud, Geneviève Tessier, and her team promises some exciting discoveries. It will feature water sports with two new features: an obstacle course on December 4 at the Sanary aquatic complex and a mixed kayaking event on June 5 at the water sports center.
Football also makes its appearance with a futsal event on January 22, a variant which pits two mixed teams of five players against each other, very popular for its accessibility to the greatest number of people thanks to a light ball and a smaller pitch.
Other new features include a golf practice session on March 6th in the beautiful setting of Frégate, and pickleball on April 8th, a spin-off of tennis. As with all events, this is an introduction for all ages, allowing them to discover the basics of a sport in a relaxed atmosphere!
Participants will find other disciplines from the 1st edition such as pétanque (in pairs on October 17 at the Sanary bowling alley), table tennis on November 6, 3x3 mixed basketball on February 6 and orienteering on May 19 at the Jardin des oliviers. If these monthly sporting events favor conviviality rather than performance, they still give rise to points counting with medals for the winners of each event, which leads to a final count!
Who will beat Team Sanary? The 2025-2026 mission will therefore consist of trying to beat Virginie Cordoba and Fabien Febbrari, respectively member and head of the very active Team Sanary of the town hall...
So, to encourage people to get back into sport and get rid of the summer ice cream, the Ligue Sud is making the prices more flexible: 10 euros per event or a 30 euro pass for the entire Decathlon! Now there's really no excuse...
