Football: Messi fined for grabbing assistant coach's neck

Skip the adLionel Messi has been fined for grabbing a New York City FC staff member in the neck at the end of last weekend's 2-2 draw with his team Miami, the North American soccer league MLS announced. In keeping with its practice, MLS did not disclose the amount of the fine.
After the match ended last weekend, a furious Lionel Messi walked over to referee Alexis Da Silva to protest some of the decisions. After receiving a yellow card for his protests, he got into an altercation with Mehdi Ballouchy, one of New York City's assistants.
The Argentinian and the coach chatted for a few seconds before Messi came back to Ballouchy to place his right hand on the back of his neck and squeeze it.
