Handball: semi-finals galore for Pentecost in Dordogne

Most of the semi-finals of the departmental cups and challenges take place this weekend.
Several teams have already qualified for the departmental cup finals, scheduled for Saturday, June 28th for the main ones. We even already know the matches for the under-13s. In the Dordogne cups, it will be Périgueux - Saint-Astier for the girls and Champcevinel - Sarlat for the boys. And for the challenges, starting June 21st, Foyen-Vélinois for the girls and for the boys, facing Ribérac and Champcevinel B respectively. We also know that in the under-15 challenge, Lalinde and Eymet will be pitted against each other.
But 25 semi-finals will still take place this Whitsun weekend. Ten in the under-11 category alone (Dordogne Cups for girls, boys, and mixed, and boys' and mixed challenges), only two in the under-15 category (five have already taken place, with the final one set for June 13), seven in the under-18 category, and six in the senior category.
Two matches this Saturday in MussidanIn Mussidan, this Saturday, there will be two Dordogne Cup semi-finals, the women's at 7 p.m. (Mussidan – La Force) and the men's at 9 p.m. (Mussidan-Montpon B – Montpon-Ménestérol A). Entry to the gymnasium will be free, with refreshments and food available on site.
If they qualify, the Mussidanaises already know that in the final, they would face the National 3 team from Périgueux, who defeated their reserve team 31-45 on May 16 in the other semi-final. In the men's competition, the other semi-final will pit Lalinde and Coulounieix-Chamiers, two regional teams, against each other this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
While Périgueux is still likely to place a team in every cup final in the women's division, Champcevinel is exceptionally absent from the senior semi-finals. However, HBCC, either on its own or through the Entente Périgourdine, remains very present in the youth division.
