It's a first: 93 students from Monaco have been rewarded for their commitment to the sporting world.

The Charles-III college, the Albert-Ier high school, the Rainier-III high school, as well as the François d'Assise-Nicolas Barré middle school and high school came together during a unique ceremony, organized under the aegis of the Directorate of National Education , Youth and Sports (DENJS) to promote the commitment of students throughout the year, "whether it is expressed through performance, sportsmanship or involvement in young official functions" in school sport (UNSS).

In total, three types of distinctions were awarded, rewarding 93 students: sports prizes, for students who participated in a French championship; meritorious prizes, designating two students per activity and per establishment for their attendance and exemplary behavior; young officials prizes, for referees, judges or reporters who validated a certification or actively contributed to sporting life.

With 700 members, the UNSS district of Monaco once again exceeded the national averages in 2024-2025. "It distinguished itself both by its organizational dynamism with several departmental and academic competitions hosted in the Principality and by the remarkable results of its students," the DENJS is pleased to announce. Among the notable performances, we will remember the Albert-Ier high school, which rose to 2nd place in the French football championship , and shone in cross-country and rowing, up to the national level. In athletics, Monegasque establishments took the top places at the local and academic levels. "This first joint awards ceremony, placed under the sign of sharing and recognition, confirms the vitality of school sport in the Principality and the desire of its stakeholders to strengthen the links between establishments around the values of sport."
