Legendary bodybuilder from the Côte d'Azur, Eric Orrao, will celebrate 40 years of competition.

This year, Eric Orrao, our national pharaoh, celebrates 40 years of competition, including 34 international ones. A feat he believes is unique in the world of bodybuilding. His list of achievements is impressive: seven-time Mr. Universe, ten-time world champion, world champion in pairs, five-time European champion, two-time European champion in all categories, four-time French champion, and voted France's most beautiful athlete.

Is it over in Sapri?

Like every year, Eric will be in Sapri from July 5th to 7th for the IBFA Mr Universe competition , organized by Biagio Filizola, the world president, followed by the European Championship. "This edition will be particularly moving since it marks my 40th year of career, since my first competition in 1985 in Vauvert, reserved for beginners," the Menton native points out with emotion. Even if he rarely talks about it, this could be his last Mr Universe, although his passion always pushes him to continue.

This time, he mainly wants to enjoy this legendary scene surrounded by his loved ones, with the sincere desire to achieve a good result. After four months of strict dieting and losing 16 kilos, he's also looking forward to enjoying a good meal, he who had put training aside this winter and had let himself go a little when it came to food, he admits. Forty years of determination and success make Éric Orrao a unique example and a true monument of French bodybuilding.
