LIVE. 2025 World Swimming Championships: Maxime Grousset's totally crazy double

The penultimate day of the World Swimming Championships is this Saturday, with some very strong players in the Singapore pool. Maxime Grousset, Summer McIntosh, and the French relay team are all out.

And so it's off to an 800m race in the Singapore open waters. Katie Ledecky and Summer McIntosh are expected to battle it out for the title in a fiery duel.

McIntosh versus Ledecky! This is the tantalizing duel that should take place now at these 2025 World Swimming Championships in the women's 800m final.

It promises to be a great duel in the final this Sunday. Kolesnikov, in turn, dominates this 50m backstroke semi-final, even though he was slower than in the heats.

The South African is on a roll from his debut at the 2025 World Swimming Championships. After his two medals in the 100m backstroke and 200m backstroke, Coetze reaches the final of the 50m backstroke.

Before two highly anticipated finals, the last semi-finals of the day at these 2025 World Swimming Championships will take place with two races in the men's 50m backstroke.

In a faster race than in the first semi-final, Harris prevailed. Beryl Gastaldello was in a bind, as she had to regroup for the mixed 4x100m relay in about half an hour.

The Frenchwoman finished sixth in the first semi-final of the 50m freestyle. This shouldn't go down well for Beryl Gastaldello.

After the incredible emotions provided by Maxime Grousset, Beryl Gastaldello will attempt to reach the final of the 50m freestyle. The Frenchwoman is in the first half which is about to begin.

"I don't know what to say, but thank you because I heard you (the public). I have more strength, power and rhythm, and that's why I won today," said Maxime Grousset after his title in the 100m butterfly.

MAXIME GROUSSET IS HUGE! He dominated this 100m butterfly final and achieved a wonderful double after his world champion title in the 50m butterfly. He beat Ponti.

They'll soon be let loose at the deep end! Maxime Grousset and the seven 100m butterfly finalists enter the arena just minutes before the start.

Heading for a second world title? Maxime Grousset will soon be taking his place in front of the Singapore pool for the 100m butterfly final.

The defending champion won the second semi-final of the 50m breaststroke and showed a clear advantage ahead of tomorrow's final. In 29.54 seconds, she achieved the best world performance of the year.

After a brief respite in the Singapore pool, the program continues at the 2025 World Swimming Championships with the second semi-final of the 50m breaststroke. The first was won by Italy's Benedetta Pilato.

To see the four-time Olympic champion in the pool, we'll have to wait a few days because Léon Marchand has decided to skip two of the four individual races. The 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke, which were originally scheduled for Singapore, will be out. "It's a choice we made because we're in a post-Olympic year and he's never had the opportunity to compete in the 200m medley without a race before or after the same day. He wanted to try out this isolated 200m medley and see what he was capable of," his coach explained. His program will therefore be as follows: 200m medley, 4x200m freestyle relay (subject to participation), 400m medley, and 4x100m medley (subject to participation).

The World Swimming Championships are taking place in Asia, near Singapore. There will therefore be a very large time difference with France. To watch the "morning" heats, you'll have to get up very early, around 4 a.m. However, for the finals, you can watch the events between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. approximately in France (-6 hours in Singapore).
