At these European Championships on home soil (in Châteauroux, the national shooting center), the French are shining, and Thomas Chinours from Périgord is no exception. This Thursday, he won another gold medal.

The Périgord native is unstoppable. With two gold medals already (solo, in the 25m standard pistol, on July 29, and in the 25m standard pistol team event), Thomas Chinours, a member of the Périgord Shooting Society, once again climbed to the top step of the podium this Thursday. In the 25m pistol with his "buddies," the 18-year-old sang "La Marseillaise." Also noteworthy is his sixth place in the 25m pistol individual event.

So, Thomas Chinours would have obviously hoped for better, "he always wants better," assures his mother, Isabelle. But the Périgourdin will be able to make up for it in the Olympic speed, his favorite discipline. The passes will take place this Saturday and the final on Sunday, with, "we hope," continues his mother, another gold medal.
