Two young people from Saint-Antonin-du-Var are French champions in Thai boxing and K1 style

Two very young residents of Saint-Antonin-du-Var, schooled in the village, proudly wear the colors of their club. Neighbors and in the same class at school, Nolan Bonnet and Théo Altiéri are members of the KHAO SOK GYM club in Lorgues. This young club is gradually taking shape under the guidance of its president and founder Lahoucine Idouche, and has around fifty members, including our two young champions.
Nolan Bonnet started practicing Muay Thai in 2022 at the age of 7, after a year spent discovering French boxing. Over the course of three years, Nolan gradually climbed the ranks to become a "green prajeet" in his category (under 38kg).
His coach, Lahoucine, offered him the chance to compete in the Paca championship in Marseille. He was right to do so, as Nolan won the gold medal!
The next step was clear: to shine in Paris at the French Championship. With the support of his coach and parents, Nolan won the silver medal. Returning to his village as French vice-champion, what a wonderful adventure.
Théo, gold medalist in K1 light styleThéo Altiéri started the same sport, Thai boxing, just two years ago, at the age of 8. Today, he's in his own weight category (under 42kg). He's not in competition with his friend Nolan. Théo has also climbed the ranks to become a "green prajeet."
For him too, his coach Lahoucine was convinced to take him to the Paca championship. Here again, the attempt turned into... a gold medal!
The rest was a little different from his friend Nolan's. Théo was also heading to the French Championship, but in the K1 light style discipline held in Istres. Purists will appreciate the difference, slight certainly, but significant for a 10-year-old. Always well supported by a coach who listens to children and of course reassured by the presence of his parents, young Théo returned with the silver medal, making him also vice-champion of France.
Boldness, hard work, and perseverance paid off for these two Antonnais. In their quest for medals, they must also include Lahoucine Idouche, himself a former professional, a member of the French national team, and a 2011 European champion. An iconic coach and a great teacher, he shares his knowledge and takes his young charges to various championships and galas, primarily for the children's enjoyment. The adventure continues.
