Guéthary: the Bihotzez men's choir celebrates its 30th anniversary

By Philippe Capy
The Bihotzez men's choir, originally from Guéthary, will give a concert at the Saint-Nicolas church on July 8 at 9 p.m.
The Bihotzez men's choir (translated as "with all my heart"), composed of around thirty male voices under the rigorous direction of its conductor Isabelle Ainciart, continues its concert season on July 8 at 9 p.m. in the Saint-Nicolas church in Guéthary, the village where it was born exactly 30 years ago.
Beyond the revival of essential Basque compositions, both secular and liturgical, Bihotzez stands out for its numerous original creations that celebrate colorful characters here, moments of life, nature or landscapes there. Mastery of the Basque language, "Euskara", is not required as the recital of nearly an hour and a half arouses emotion, serenity, and ultimately, for the visitor, the irrepressible desire to deepen the journey to these Basque lands of character. Carried away by this sober and profound choir, the desire to discover more is born. An experience to be lived without reserve.
General admission: €12. Free for children under 16. Reservations available at bihotzez.com/
