Redemption of a Montmartre café straight out of the 1930s with, from the dining room to the kitchens, an irresistible mosaic on the floor, above which the plates circulate between the timeless and the populo. Eye-catching and endearing.

Price: between €27 and €39. Set menus (lunch, weekday) at €19 and €24. Celeriac remoulade, Morteau sausage: effective. Chicken supreme, supreme tarragon sauce (with a choice of mash, fries, vegetables, rice or salad): have a great Sunday! Belle-Hélène pear: approved.

With whom? A sailor's shirt.

Good food: on your left, those in boxes and benches. Playful service.

Le Caboulot. 123, rue Caulaincourt (Paris 18th ). Tel.: 01 86 04 48 07. Daily until midnight. Metro: Lamarck-Caulaincourt.
