Kerry v Cavan: How To Watch, TV Info, Team News

Kerry take on Cavan this weekend in a pivotal All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final, as the season finally reaches knockout time.

The Kingdom were Munster champions earlier this year, but a disastrous last day hammering by Meath cost them top spot in their All-Ireland round robin group, resigning them to the preliminary round.

Cavan, by contrast, will be ecstatic to have gone this deep into the championship. Minnows at the outset of their round robin group, Cavan stunned Mayo in Castlebar in their opening game to claim a famous win, which ultimately saw them through ahead of the Westerners on head-to-head. It is the first time they have reached the knockout stage of the All-Ireland since they won the Ulster championship in 2020.

Kerry v Cavan team news

Kerry made sweeping changes to their team last week to face Meath and, in the wake of their heavy defeat in Tullamore, more will be expected for this Saturday's game. They are expected to name their team on Thursday evening.

Cavan manager Raymond Galligan is hopeful to be able to welcome Gearoid McKiernan, Jason McLoughlin and Conor Madden back from injury, in what would be a massive boost.
