Whelan insists Dubs are still 'dangerous'

While he doesn’t envisage them lifting Sam Maguire this year, Ciaran Whelan reckons Dublin are still capable of beating anyone on their day.
Dessie Farrell’s charges have blown hot and cold in this year’s Championship and Whelan believes it’s that inconsistency that makes them a threat to the big guns.
"Could they still be dangerous? Absolutely. I still think when they perform, there is a performance in them. They could still take a team out as there is an unpredictability about them,” the former Dublin midfielder told the RTÉ GAA podcast following last Sunday’s defeat to Armagh.
"Do I see them winning the All-Ireland? No, but they can still be dangerous, particularly if they get Con (O’Callaghan) back. He makes such a difference, he is their leader."
He added: "Dublin have had some hot patches, but there have been portions of games where they have been over-ran. That’s been a trend all year.”
