"Mantide di Parabiago" trial: maxi compensation of two million requested

A compensation of two million and 150 thousand euros: this is the sum requested by the parents and cousin of Fabio Ravasio, who have joined the civil action in the trial against Adilma Pereira Carneiro, the “praying mantis of Parabiago”. The 49-year-old is accused, together with seven other defendants, of having orchestrated the death of her partner last August.
The parents asked the woman for one million euros each, and 150 thousand euros for the cousin. For this reason, their lawyers have filed a request for precautionary seizure of assets. During the hearing on Monday 24 February, the requests for a psychiatric assessment were also defined for two of the defendants. The assessment was granted to Marcello Trifone, Adilma's last husband who was inside the car that intentionally hit and killed Ravasio, while it was rejected for Igor Benedito, the son of the Brazilian woman who was allegedly driving the Opel Corsa that killed Ravasio.
The “mantis” case will return to the courtrooms of Busto Arsizio on March 3rd with the technical passage for the assignment of the task to the court expert and on April 7th when the first witnesses will parade in the courtroom.
