Dear rents, in Milan here is the agreement to offer social housing to doctors and nurses

Thirty-two rent-controlled homes for healthcare workers employed by ASST Nord Milano in the municipalities of Milan, Sesto San Giovanni and Cologno Monzese. This is what the agreement between Aler Milano and ASST Nord Milano provides for to provide housing for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers employed in Milanese hospitals.
The agreement was illustrated on Monday 24 February at Palazzo Lombardia, in the presence of the President of the Region Attilio Fontana and the regional councillor for Home and Social Housing Paolo Franco, the president of Aler Milano Matteo Mognaschi and the general director of ASST Nord Milano, Tommaso Russo. The thirty-two rent-controlled apartments, distributed in the municipalities of Milan (2 homes), Sesto San Giovanni (23) and Cologno Monzese (7), will be made available to single people or families, through a public tender advertised on the websites of Aler Milano and ASST Nord Mliano. The rental contracts will last three years plus two.
"We want to offer those who carry out such a delicate and essential task for our health system the opportunity to have decent housing with a controlled rent and thus demonstrate that the Lombardy Region is always at the side of those who work in the service of others - said Governor Fontana -. The goal is to prevent our staff, of absolute excellence and highly professional, from being induced for reasons related to everyday life, such as having to bear the burden of a high rent, to decide to move elsewhere".
"With this agreement we are facilitating the assignment of public housing to nurses, who are essential figures for the health and well-being of citizens - added Paolo Franco, councilor for housing and social housing -. The cost of rent, especially in large cities, must not be an obstacle for those who take care of us every day. With this measure we want to guarantee our health and social health personnel greater housing stability and, at the same time, enhance their presence in the territories, strengthening services for citizens".
