Fun is Italian Style: Guè arrives at The Beach, BadVice makes Venice dance and the success of Hotel Costez and Costez grows

We talk too often about the crisis of discos and entertainment. It is likely, instead, that only clubs, organizers and DJs who propose parties, events and music that are not popular today are in crisis. More than a period of crisis, we are living in a moment of change. For example, in Milan the geography of clubbing has evolved. If the proposal of the Play Club, opened with great success several nights a week in the Corso Como area, holds up, from the Riviera Romagnola the Pineta has arrived in the city. And the Philipp's Club and Restaurant was born (created by Philipp Plein). From September, the Twiga of Leonardo Maria del Vecchio will also arrive, who bought the brand from Flavio Briatore. Because the desire to stay out late in style, first of all in Italian style, remains. Everywhere in the world.
There is, for example, in Sharm el Sheikh, where the success of The Beach Luxury Club continues. Open during the day, all year round, as a beach club, in the evening and at night it transforms into a place where you can enjoy exciting dinner shows with dozens of international artists (pictured) and then dance until dawn. That's not all. Sometimes Manuel Dallori, the creator of The Beach, often proposes big events. This is what happens on April 24 at The Desert Arena, when Guè, undoubtedly one of the most important Italian rappers of all time, arrives on stage as a special guest. "First of all, we will propose, in the Sinai desert, a dinner show of the highest level", explains Manuel Dallori. "Then, after Guè's performance, our guests will conclude the evening on the dance floor with a DJ set". Dallori, among other things, runs Cava, a highly stylish Italian trattoria that has just opened on the other side of the world, in Tulum, Mexico, at the VR Club Hotels & Resorts.
And what is the most popular Italian music in the world? Often that of emerging artists like JFlako, an Italian-Argentine rapper who is growing a lot in the hip hop scene. Many of the Reels released by Martin Ramon Labriola, this is JFlako's real name, on social media between October and December 2024, have far exceeded 160,0000 views. Jflako tells his stories in a direct way, but without the desire to amaze and show off at all costs of too many colleagues.
Returning to fun, those who want to dance and let loose with international music cannot always do so in Venice. On March 1, '25, however, it is possible, thanks to BadVice DJ, a Venetian mixer artist who is also active abroad. At Rialto Pescheria he proposes his Festa Granda. He is not alone on stage but is accompanied by many artists including the Italian Alex Pizzuti. It is a free and charitable event, given that the proceeds from the bars go to the Pediatric Department of the Civil Hospital of Venice. "We would like many people to participate again this year, so that we can help those who suffer," explains BadVice, whose real name is Alvise Catullo.
Among the Italian protagonists of the international music scene, Saintpaul DJ also stands out, who collaborates with Eliza G and between one set in the reference clubs and another is always looking for new talents to produce. "I don't know if I'm lucky or good, I was born in Carrara and grew up in Avenza, a city that has no musical connections, but I've been traveling the world with my music for years", he says. "It's a priceless emotion".
And what happens between Bergamo and Brescia, between one venue and another? Only the most distracted are surprised by the growing success of the spaces managed by Paolo and Francesco Battaglia, who only have part of their name in common, Costez. Since last autumn, the Hotel Costez, in Franciacorta, has been offering a long weekend of parties that starts on Friday, continues on Saturday and ends with an Italian-style Sunday dedicated to show cooking and not just music, from 8 to 11 pm. Girls and boys who want to look and be looked at come here, in an environment where style certainly counts. The Costez in Bergamo, on the other hand, is a large disco where wild shows performed by professional dancers and performers always take place on the stage. Especially on Friday night, on the dance floor you can enjoy real shows to the rhythm of music.
