Lollobrigida on water reiterates: 'Abuse can cause damage'

On the sidelines of Slow Wine Sana in Bologna, the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, returned to the controversy that arose from his words related to the fact that excessive water consumption could even cause death.
"Look here, a nice glass of still water, excellent, to pair with anything because obviously it is a healthy food - Lollobrigida told journalists - but like all foods if consumed in excessive quantities it can cause damage. I'm not saying this, science says it".
"If many of your colleagues had had the patience to type the word 'water' they would have found articles" in newspapers "denounced how the excesses of even this very healthy product par excellence could cause damage - the minister specified - In this desire to denounce the government's incapacity, instead, caricatures are created, without realizing that those who draw caricatures not supported by scientific data" are not providing good information.
Lollobrigida explained that at the General States of Wine her intention was to explain "how we can talk about wine by criminalizing abuse, but not consumption, just as by giving the example of the best product on the planet, that is, water, we must not speak badly of, obviously, but even in this case abuse can cause damage, I'm not saying it, science says it", she concluded.
