Makai McNamara, the surfer miraculously survives after being hit by a wave

Moments of enormous fear at Pipeline, Hawaii , in the famous spot where the first stage of the World Surf League Championship Tour took place in recent weeks, with Leonardo Fioravanti mocked in the final despite arriving on equal points with Brandon Mamiya. However, this is a different story in these hours, made of terror and prayers: the famous surfer Makai McNamara was pulled out of the water unconscious, after being overwhelmed by a wave. A race against time that saved the surfer's life.
The dynamics of the accident in the water are not clear, but what is certain is that McNamara was hit by a wave. The other surfers lost sight of him and from there the race to recover the boy, found unconscious in the water, began. The video, also available on Youtube, shows the desperate rescue attempts by the entire community present at the time, from the surfers in the water to the lifeguards. Thanks to everyone's work, Makai was taken out of the sea and resuscitated: fortunately, the boy's life is not in danger.
His father Liam, a well-known figure in the surfing world, sent a reassuring message via an Instagram video: "Makai is not in danger of life, he is recovering well, he will spend a few days in the hospital but he is improving. He feels everyone's positive energy, keep praying". Makai McNamara is the nephew of Garrett , the famous giant wave surfer who actually "discovered" Nazaré about fifteen years ago. While Makai's brother, Landon , recently won the famous Eddie Aikau giant wave contest and was in the water when the accident occurred. A family united by surfing, who in these hours really feared for the fate of Makai, saved by his session companions and lifeguards ready to face any situation at Pipeline.
