Ristopro Janus Basket Fabriano continues to consolidate its technical staff in view of the 2025/26 season, which will be led by the new head coach Luciano Nunzi . After the confirmation of assistant coach Elia Rossi, the club is pleased to announce another important addition to the white-blue staff: Matteo Petrucci will still be the assistant coach for the next Serie B Nazionale championship.

"A life in Fabriano basketball - reads the club's official press release - first as a player in the youth sector, then as a coach in the various realities of the city. Matteo has built his own path with passion and competence, establishing himself as an increasingly relevant figure within the local basketball environment".

In 2022/23 he had a highly formative year as assistant to coach Aniello, before moving to nearby Jesi where he held various roles in the youth sector: head coach of the U13 and assistant of the U14 Elite and U17 Eccellenza, also reaching the inter-zone phase with the latter.

The return "home" was not long in coming: in the 2023/24 season Petrucci returned to the Janus bench as assistant to coach Lorenzo Niccolai, contributing to reaching the Play-In of the Serie B Old Wild West championship.

At the same time, he also took on the role of head coach of Uroboro Basket, another Fabriano club playing in the Promozione championship. Despite his young age, Matteo has shown great maturity and management skills, leading the team to victory in the championship and historic promotion to Serie D.

A constant growth, the result of technical skills and aptitude for work, which earn him a deserved reconfirmation also for the next season. Together with the vice Elia Rossi, Matteo Petrucci completes a coaching staff with a strong Fabriano traction, an element that once again underlines the company's desire to enhance local excellence.
