Origin

The Toyger was developed in the 1980s by American breeder Judy Sugden , daughter of Jean Mill, creator of the Bengal cat. Sugden began by crossing domestic shorthaired cats with tabby-coated cats to accentuate the tiger-like markings. She also imported a male cat from India with distinctive markings to reinforce the coat pattern. The goal was to create a cat reminiscent of a tiger, but with a domestic temperament . Despite its wild appearance, the Toyger is known for its affectionate, sociable, and playful nature . Physical appearance
