Casanova of the Left hosts in its streets. The days of the still.

After two editions in Emilia Romagna, the "I giorni dell'alambicco" festival will be held in the Pavia area for the first time. The theme will be "Grafting" for a new form of wandering, featuring concerts, theatrical performances, workshops, book presentations, conferences, and public debates. A wide range of events will unfold in the streets of Casanova di Sinistra, a hamlet of Santa Margherita Staffora, from morning to evening, Friday through Sunday. The event will open at 6 pm on Friday in the Nova Cana hall with "From the Presence of the Physical Body to the Spiritual Dimension," a talk by Raffaele Fiore. On Saturday, from 4 pm to 8 pm, "The Island in the Mountains" will feature theater, music, and performances in the village streets, a craft market, and a tasting of traditional products. Sunday, a nature walk through the woods at 9 am. At 6 pm, a conversation with Angela Volpini, and at 9 pm, in the Casanova di Sinistra farmyard, "Erlebnis," a concert by Davide Giangaspare. A distinctive feature of the 2025 edition will be the construction of a "Phytomorphic Pupa," which will then be burned during a final rite preceded by a parade and the reading of some wishes collected during the festival.
