Events, General States of Culture: two days of discussions at the Bellini
The General States of Culture of Campania 2025, promoted by the Il Sole 24 ORE Group and created thanks to the commitment of the Campania Region and Scabec, Società Campana Beni Culturali, ended today in Naples, an important opportunity for discussion on the evolution and impact of the cultural industry at a territorial and national level.
The inaugural stage yesterday at the Teatro Bellini saw the participation of many protagonists of culture, including the film producer and president of Calcio Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis and the governor Vincenzo De Luca. The latter, in addition to underlining the commitment of the Region to the sector (“From 2020 to 2025 the Campania Region has invested 800 million euros in culture. There is no Italian institution that has made an effort even remotely comparable to this”), raised the alarm on the future of the planet. “We are not realizing that democracy is at the end of its run” he said, underlining how culture must serve “to open our eyes” in the face of today's wars and upheavals.
Yesterday afternoon at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples another key moment with thematic tables for direct comparison between institutions, cultural and creative enterprises, artists, associations and operators of the territory.
This morning the Campania 2025 General States of Culture moved again to the Bellini Theater where they closed with the last debate in which Pier Luigi Petrillo, director of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Chair, Unitelma Sapienza University, Professor of Cultural Heritage LUISS Guido Carli, Armida Filippelli, regional councilor for Professional Training and Felice Casucci, regional councilor for Tourism, participated.
