From the Land of Fires to the Royal Palace: Capone's Gentle Revolution

“Come Suona il Caos” is more than a concert: it is an experience that unites, educates and mobilizes, demonstrating that a sustainable world is possible, starting from everyday gestures.

“Come Suona il Caos”, the musical and cultural event conceived by Maurizio Capone, reaches its fourth edition and is included in the program of the Campania Teatro Festival Italia 2025 and takes place over two days.

Preview on June 8 (11 am) At the Masseria Ferraioli (Afragola) there will be the planting of two olive trees and the placing of a plaque in everlasting memory of the Land of Fires with the participation of Stop Biocidio, ISDE Medici per l'Ambiente, Greenpeace, Guerrilla Planting, Wau and the entire community that has always followed the initiatives of Come Suona il Caos.

Then see you on Wednesday 18 June (9 pm) in the evocative Cortile delle Carrozze of Palazzo Reale in Naples, for an evening that combines art, ecology and social commitment, with a special focus on the feminine dimension of the world, celebrated through the love for Mother Earth and the stories of women on the front lines for environmental and social justice. Educational activities will begin at 6:00 pm with free admission until all seats are taken.

The 2025 edition of Come Suona il Caos also marks an important milestone: 25 years of activity for Capone & BungtBangt, European pioneers of eco-music with instruments entirely built from recycled materials. Born in 1999, they have transformed music into a vehicle of sustainability and denunciation, anticipating issues that are more urgent than ever today.

In an era in which environmental initiatives risk being superficial, “Come Suona il Caos” stands out for its coherence and concreteness, involving associations, artists and the public in a transformative experience. The event, which began in 2009 in Bagnoli with 5,000 participants, is today a model of ecological rigor and participation, supported by Greenpeace, Legambiente, Amnesty International and other organizations.

Maurizio Capone, Champion of Circular Economy (Legambiente) and Honorary Member of Musica contro le mafie, leads a project that combines art and activism: “We want to demonstrate that culture can be a driver of change, with real actions and a universal language: music”.

The event, as always, will actively involve the public, transforming them from spectators into protagonists, thanks to immersive activities such as concrete actions with the participation of the most authoritative environmental associations: – at Masseria Ferraioli (Via Procida, Afragola – NA), a property confiscated from the Camorra, two olive trees will be planted as a permanent memorial to the Land of Fires and a plaque will be placed with a quote from the song “Mariuò” written in 1994 by Maurizio Capone. The Associations Doctors for the Environment (ISDE) and Stop Biocidio will be present and will take part in a debate.

– at Palazzo Reale, Capone 's traditional Workshop on the construction of musical instruments with recycled materials this year is entitled "How Do You Make It? Bring Your Recycled Instrument!", it will be an opportunity to have the approximately thirty children from the 4th and 5th grades of the primary school perform on stage, who took part in the workshop that Capone conducted in the theater of the parish of Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Piazza Ottocalli in Naples.

Before the final concert there will be a collective jam session with recycled instruments, open to anyone in the audience who brings their own instrument.

The children, led by Capone, will perform in a performance during which they will tell their experience of building and practicing music.

Among the participants of the workshop, also the refugee children from Ukraine in Naples of the Progetto Infanzia Felice APS.

In the days leading up to the concert, a call to action will be launched via social media to invite the public to bring a recycled instrument to show and play during the workshop.

Thanks to the contribution of the Ricrea Consortium, recycled steel instruments will be created and donated to the public, who will be able to use them at the evening concert to create a large collective orchestra. At the concert with the Napoli Pedala association: the public is invited to come to the concert by bike, to promote sustainable mobility. Napoli Pedala will organize a gathering of cyclists that will arrive at the Palazzo Reale, where other cyclists can join. An area will be set up with stands and gazebos dedicated to environmental and civil rights associations (Greenpeace, Legambiente, Amnesty, Napoli Pedala, Sii Turista della Tua Città, 'N Sea Yet WWF Napoli ETS, La Comune); there will be artisans and artists who work with recycled materials and the public will be able to take sensory paths and educational workshops (for adults and children) proposed by the participating associations.

International etc.); artisans and artists who work with recycled materials; sensory paths and educational workshops for adults and children proposed by the participating associations. 9:00 pm the Concert

The highlight of the day: the concert entitled Femmena, Vita e Libertà dedicated to women who fight for their rights and to defend Mother Earth with many women, artists and activists, guests on stage.

Capone & BungtBangt, children of this time, observe a world that concerns them and calls them into question. Music becomes a “bridge”, and like a wave it reaches everyone ’s conscience, music amplifies women’s voices. Voices that speak of daily battles, of denied rights and of those contradictions that float under the “skin” of our society. Voices that, too often, remain suffocated or invisible.

During the entire concert there will be live painting by the artist Trisha Palma.

• Rosalba Di Girolamo (Naples) – will perform an extract from Nuda as a tribute to Marilyn Monroe
