Live music. Take the last subway

Oliva is someone who says that every journey begins with the first step, but in NoLo there is a place where the journey begins with the last subway. A name that evokes the ride of the last train of the night, that last stop that marks the border between the city and the dream, between everyday life and adventure. And as in the famous film by François Truffaut – Le dernier métro – where the theater becomes refuge and resistance, here too the stage is a place of freedom and experimentation, where stories come to life and creativity flows like rails under the city.
L'Ultimo Metrò is much more than just a venue: it is a space for meeting, entertainment and creativity that has earned a prominent place in the Milanese cultural scene, thanks to a very lively and continuous popular participation and also to important collaborations consolidated over the years. A stage that not only hosts shows, but ignites the energy of a community of artists and the public, thanks to a varied and engaging program.
One of its strengths is its active participation in the FringeMI Festival , the widespread festival of performing arts that invades Milan every year with independent shows. Ultimo Metrò is not only one of the festival's venues, but a protagonist capable of bringing comedy and quality performances to the stage. Here, during the FringeMI, emerging and established artists have the opportunity to experiment, meet the public and mix languages and styles.
Next to the festival, the venue also hosts the Zelig laboratory, where new voices of Italian comedy are trained and refined. A true incubator of talents that offers artists a stage to test monologues, sketches and stand-up comedy, often in preview with respect to the television circuits.
The programming of L'Ultimo Metrò doesn't stop here: the programme is full of evenings dedicated to stand-up comedy, live music, book presentations and cultural evenings.
