The local boss, for whom Ciccio worked before disappearing and who everyone calls 'the engineer', does not call the police. He fears that the agents are too interested in his business and his activities. For this reason he turns to the private investigator Michele Cardini, entrusting him with the task of finding his employee. For Michele it is not an easy investigation. With the help of his friend Rocco, he immediately realizes that it is necessary to broaden the scope of the investigation. Ciccio's disappearance hides a secret that touches an entire country. A world crossed by the 106 Ionica, the scene of disappearances and encounters, of lives that are violently shattered and of new stories that have just begun.

Stefano Sofi, originally from Reggio Calabria, has lived in Rome for over forty years. Graduated in Political Science, he is a professional journalist. He wrote the libretto of Fantamusicasia, a classical musical opera for children by M. Galeati performed at the Auditorium in Rome with the voice of Milena Vukotic. He published the collection of verses 'Visioni Ioniche' and performed his play 'Sud, manutenzione della nostalgia' in the theater.
