Africa Green Growth Forum focuses on clean and sustainable energy

The fifth edition of the Africa Green Growth Forum, at Ecomondo 2025, focused on clean and sustainable energy initiatives on the African continent under the Mattei Plan and the 'Mission 300' program.
After opening remarks by Fabio Fava, Coordinator of the Ecomondo Scientific Technical Committee, and moderated by Silvia D'Ovidio of Res4Africa, the Forum featured speeches by Fabio Massimo Ballerini, Director of the Mission Structure for the Implementation of the Mattei Plan of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fabrizio Lobasso (MAECI), and Giulia Pinna (MASE).
Immediately afterward, Robin Hendrix of the World Bank Group and Davinah Milenge Uwella of the African Development Bank provided an overview of the impact of the Mattei Plan and Mission 300. In the subsequent roundtable discussion, representatives from Confindustria Assafrica Mediterraneo, Res4Africa, CDP, SACE, SIMEST, and the European Investment Bank discussed opportunities for promoting green partnerships and investments in Africa. The event concluded with a final session, moderated by Angela Giordano of Confindustria Assafrica Mediterraneo, which highlighted best practices of companies operating in Africa in the green and technology fields.
