Businesses: Bini calls for legislation to protect artisanal production.

The Region is currently considering a regulation to protect and support traditional and niche artisanal products from Friuli Venezia Giulia. The goal is to effectively safeguard and promote the many excellent traditional products that are characteristic of our region. This proposal is in line with and will be developed under the slogan "I Am Friuli Venezia Giulia" to promote the wonderful territory that is our region.
The announcement was made this morning by the regional councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism, Sergio Emidio Bini, in Udine during the press conference presenting the Casa Moderna and Saperi&Sapori 2025 trade fairs at the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce. The conference was also attended by, among others, the president of the chamber, Giovanni Da Pozzo.
The Casa Moderna and Saperi&Sapori 2025 events will be held at Udine Fiere from October 2 to 6, 2025. This second edition of the event combines the historic home and living event with the showcase of Friuli Venezia Giulia's artisanal and agri-food excellence. Casa Moderna is celebrating its 72nd edition of the home and living fair, focusing on architecture, furnishings, sustainability, and technology. Meanwhile, Saperi&Sapori Fvg is celebrating its second edition, promoting the artisanal and flavorful traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Approximately forty companies will be exhibiting the best of our know-how, offering tastings of traditional foods, and presenting themselves to the general public at Casa Moderna.
"The key to the success of Saperi&Sapori, combined with the historic home furnishing industry fair," Bini emphasized, "which returns after last year's excellent debut, lies in the ability to work collaboratively. The artisan and agri-food sectors have worked side by side and in concert with the Region to create an event capable of enhancing our production chains and attracting visitors. The combination with Casa Moderna," the councilor reiterated, "is particularly successful: for a long weekend, the spaces of Udine Esposizioni will become a hub for meeting and sharing the "know-how" that Friuli Venezia Giulia expresses at the highest levels. A round of applause," Bini added, "goes to all the organizations involved and the exhibitors, for they stand out as true ambassadors of our region in Italy and abroad."
The councilor also emphasized how the trade fair system is facing new challenges and how Fiera di Udine is responding to innovate. "Faced with a constantly evolving trade fair sector, a shrinking market, and in a small region like ours," Bini observed, "the decision to bring together the excellence and identities of the entire Friuli Venezia Giulia region is undoubtedly far-sighted. This is thanks to the synergy between the Region, Udine Esposizioni, and trade associations, demonstrating a cohesive production network capable of working together for the development of the region."
