Albizzate - Forestry inspections at Albizzate park, a fine for the reduction of the wooded area - - Varese News

The Municipality of Albizzate will have to pay an administrative fine of 1,390 euros for an incorrect reduction of the wooded area found within the Fornace Park . This is provided for in a report issued by the Carabinieri Forestali Nucleus of Tradate , which carried out an assessment of the municipal woodland heritage as part of a broader ecological surveillance activity.

According to the technicians, a portion of the wooded area of ​​approximately 516 square meters would have been compromised to the point of hindering forest renewal . Considering that the land is municipal property, the local authority was deemed jointly liable for the payment of the fine, as provided for by Regional Law 31/2008 on the protection of forestry heritage.

The identified area is the wooded area on the western perimeter of the park , between the kiosk area and the road leading to the upper part of the park.

The Municipality has arranged for the commitment of the resources necessary for the payment of the fine but the administrative body is trying to understand if the report also requires the restoration and subsequent replanting of some plants. In that area, several green reorganization activities have been carried out, starting with the redevelopment of the park in 2014 .
