Damage to the Treasury Only with Deceit, the Extension Decree is Law

The Chamber of Deputies gives the green light to the decree extending the limitation of treasury liability only in cases of damage resulting from the wilful conduct of the subject. There were 140 yes votes, 68 abstentions, including the Democratic Party, and 33 against. The bridging measure, already approved by the Senate, is law. Pending the reform of the Court of Auditors which contains a measure in this sense and is being examined by the committee in the Senate, plans to extend the limitation of responsibility for public administrators until the end of this year. The measure was born in 2020 with the pandemic and then extended so far.
