The political climate, marked by a security spirit, does not seem suitable to address the problem, which is precisely why the appeals of the head of state are needed, denouncing the consequences of errors and delays lasting more than a decade. Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio has declared that he is paying "great attention" to the words expressed by Mattarella, listing the investments allocated to date for the prison emergency. The hope is that these announcements will be followed by concrete and useful interventions to resolve the emergency .
