The mayor of Udine, Alberto Felice De Toni, denies rumors about alleged internal divisions in his majority, which emerged in particular after the vote held in the last City Council on the cross-party motion presented by Fratelli D'Italia councilor Giovanni Govetto regarding anti-Semitism. "It is not true that a divided vote is a sign of weakness," says De Toni, emphasizing freedom of expression on issues that are not strictly administrative.

The mayor, supported by the council, reiterates the executive's total unity on the choices and projects for the city. "We are here to respect an electoral program for the development of the city, for which we were voted by the citizens: a program in which we all strongly believe and for which we are working every day", he states.

De Toni listed the important investments already implemented and planned: over 10 million euros for education and educational services (with a further 22 million planned), 1.5 million for the relaunch of local commerce, almost 10 million for road maintenance and urban greenery, and 75 million destined for the social sector for the next three years.

“Only a strong team can allow the freedom of action of the individual components,” concludes the Mayor, reaffirming that “ours is a truly democratic majority.”
