Resident Evil Requiem: The new chapter of the saga arrives in 2026

Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline entry in the iconic survival horror franchise. The title will be available on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A playable demo version of the game will be shown to the public for the first time at Gamescom 2025, taking place from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany. Resident Evil Requiem marks the beginning of a new era for the series, with a revamped narrative and a technical package that takes full advantage of the latest generation of platforms. Developed using the award-winning RE ENGINE, the game promises an unprecedented level of visual realism: highly expressive facial details, advanced skin textures, and the meticulous rendering of even the most subtle body effects, such as beads of sweat, help to heighten the sense of tension and vulnerability.

Set once again in Raccoon City, the symbolic location of the viral outbreak that gave rise to the events of the saga, Requiem blends psychological nightmare atmospheres with high-impact action sequences, maintaining the identity of the series while introducing new dynamics and characters. The result is an experience that intends to rewrite the rules of contemporary survival horror. The title will be available with dubbing and subtitles in numerous languages, including Italian, English, Japanese, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Mandarin, as well as additional subtitles in Korean, Arabic, Polish and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
