Amateur Football, Vincenzo Esposito Starts Again from the First Category

Vincenzo Esposito
Prato, 17 June 2025 – His last traces led to Livorno: it was the 2022/23 season, at the time the president of the Livorno team was still Paolo Toccafondi (who had sold Prato in the previous months) and Vincenzo Esposito agreed to lead the team from the bench in the Serie D championship.
And about two years after the last time, “Ciccio” is back on track: the sixty-two year old coach, who has lived in Prato by adoption , was in fact presented in the last few hours as general manager of AM Aglianese.
The Aglianese club, which will play in the First Category 2025/26 , has chosen the experience of one of the leading figures of the football movement of Prato, of which he has been a part for decades. A past as a Serie A player with Torino and Atalanta, Esposito played in Prato from 1982 to 1986 and from 1992 to 1996.
A loyal member of the Toccafondi family, a friend of Paolo, he then led the wool club as manager on several occasions, starting with the interim experience in 1997. He remained at the helm from 1998 to 2004 between Serie C1 and C2 , returning in 2011 (and remaining until 2015) and in 2019 (until 2021). His list of achievements also includes successes with Inter's "Primavera", starting with the category Scudetto in 2006/07 and the Viareggio Tournament in 2008. And the black-green team, which started again last summer from the First, will rely on the experience of the ex-Prato player behind the desk to try to get back on track.
