Tolu Arokodare was already on the Napoli radar over a month ago and the Genk striker is seen as the natural heir to Romelu Lukaku, so he is a name to watch.
The Partenopei are waiting to find out how bad the damage is to Lukaku's thigh and if he requires a lengthy lay-off, so if they do get the worst news, then the club will go back onto the transfer market.
We've seen talk of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United and Roma's Artem Dovbyk, but the name that stands out for us is Arokodare.
Arokodare fits the profile for Napoli
The 24-year-old Nigeria international has been watched by Napoli since at least July 10 , long before the Lukaku injury concern had emerged.
The KRC Genk centre-forward has many tactical similarities with Lukaku and has to be one of the primary candidates for Antonio Conte's side going forward.
Genk bought him from Amiens for €5m in January 2023 and last season Arokodare contributed 23 goals and seven assists in 45 competitive games.
