The first edition of the "Turin International Cup" (TIC), an international canoe polo tournament organized by the prestigious "Amici del Fiume" sports club, took place in the evocative setting of the Murazzi del Po, the beating heart of Turin's riverside. This event, recognized by the ICF (International Canoe Federation), saw the participation of top-level teams, including Champions League teams and Serie A1 teams from various countries.
Among the protagonists of this intense and spectacular two-day event was the Canoa Club Ferrara Polo , which finished in fourth place overall, confirming its solid and promising position in the Italian scene. Just a week after its historic promotion to Serie A1 , the team from Ferrara approached its second international tournament of 2025 with courage and a competitive spirit, following its experience at the Baschirotto Memorial in Porpetto (where it finished first).
The Turin tournament was a succession of adrenaline-fueled action, with matches fought to the last stroke. The Ferrara team narrowly lost the opening match against Swiss team Thurgauer, but quickly bounced back with a resounding 10-4 victory over French team MLNCK. This was followed by another strong win against Arenzano, a narrow defeat against Zurich, and finally a valuable draw against New Zealand. The fourth-place finish was the result not only of technical and tactical preparation, but also of a clear team understanding.
