Coppa Italia: Cagliari beats Entella on penalties

Cagliari beat Entella only on penalties and advance to the Coppa Italia, where they will face the winner of the Frosinone or Monza games.
The Rossoblu took a first-half lead with a goal from Piccoli, but the visitors equalized three minutes from time with an own goal from Deiola, following a Kilicsoy strike against the post and a penalty missed by Mina. The score was 1-1 in regulation time. The match was decided by penalties. The aggregate score was 5-5 after the first series (misses from Karic and Adopo). And the game continued: Marconi fired against the crossbar, Cavuoti made no mistake with the decisive shot, making it 6-5. Cagliari's lineup was almost identical to last year, with three exceptions: Pisacane on the bench, with Idrissi and Folorunsho on the pitch. The goal made it 1-0 in the 45th minute: Deiola recovered the ball and passed it to Adopo, the Frenchman passed it to Piccoli, and Piccoli fired a powerful right-footer past Del Frate. In the second half, Sebastiano Esposito, Mazzitelli, and Kilicsoy made their Rossoblu debuts. And three minutes from the end, the equaliser came on an own goal by Deiola.
