Field Hockey makes its cup debut against Grosseto

Hockey Prato will make its Serie B debut in the Italian Cup on October 5th against Grosseto, and then make its league debut on January 6th against Pumas Viareggio.

Prato, August 12, 2025 - The season opener is scheduled for October 5th in the Coppa Italia Serie B against CP Grosseto (following a match against Follonica on October 11th). The league debut will instead be on January 6th, 2026, against Pumas Viareggio. These are the first steps in the season for Hockey Prato, which, despite a strong season in Serie A2, will restart from Serie B. President Massimiliano Giardi had already announced some time ago that the Prato club would not participate in the upcoming Serie B championship (despite finishing sixth last year) and would instead restart from Serie B, based on the regulation requiring A2 teams to field a second team in the lower division. And so it will be: Hockey Prato is not included in the list of participants in the A1 and A2 championships released in recent weeks by the FISR. The club has been placed in Group E of the championship along with Viareggio Hockey, Pumas Viareggio, CGC Viareggio, Follonica Hockey, CP Grosseto, and Rotellistica Camaiore. There will be plenty of time to prepare as best as possible, starting with the cup.
